Our essential oils and blends are made for one thing: filling a room with scent through a diffuser. Here's how to get the most from them, and how to use them safely.
How much to use
Start with 2 drops for every 100 mL of water in your diffuser.
- 100 mL diffuser: 2 drops
- 200 mL diffuser: 4 drops
- 300 mL diffuser: 6 drops
That's plenty for most rooms. Scent is easy to add and hard to take away, so start low and add a drop at a time if you want more.
Getting a good result
- Fill the diffuser with water first, then add the oil.
- Run it in shorter sessions rather than all day.
- Clean your diffuser regularly, following its instructions, so old scents don't linger.
- Mix and match. Try a citrus with a mint, or a wood with a floral, and see what you like.
Safety first
For aromatic use in a diffuser only. Do not apply to skin or ingest. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Kids: Store bottles out of reach and keep the lids tight. Run the diffuser where little hands can't tip it over.
- Pets: Some pets, especially cats and birds, can be sensitive to essential oils in the air. Use a well-ventilated room, keep the diffuser out of their reach, and make sure they can leave the room. Ask your vet if you're unsure.
- Everyone: Use in a ventilated space, and turn the diffuser off if the scent feels too strong.
- Storage: Keep bottles closed, upright and away from heat and sunlight.
What our oils are not for
Our essential oils are sold for diffuser use only. They're not for use on skin, in the bath, for massage or in food, and they aren't meant to treat or prevent any condition. We describe them by how they smell and the moments they suit, not by what they do for your body.
